The parent body, Shikshayatan Foundation (formerly named Marwari Balika Vidyalaya), originally established nearly a century ago by my grand-uncle, Sri J.K Birla, is now running 4 prestigious institutions in Kolkata.

3rd January, 1954 saw the genesis of Shri Shikshayatan School. It is the dream child of its founder body Shikshayatan foundation. It is purely a girls’ school. The school has produced many notable alumni over this long period.

The mission of Shri Shikshayatan is to provide students with intellectually informed, hands-on instruction in the practice of an array of basic academics with value education.

I welcome you all to this institution which has established itself as an excellent institution over the years. It will definitely maintain the standards it has achieved. I wish the school all the very best for the future.
