Shri Shikshayatan school was founded on 3rd January 1954, by its founder body the Marwari Balika Vidyalaya Society. As a linguistic minority institution, it enjoys protection under article 30(1) of the Indian Constitution. Although it was established mainly to impart education to the girls of the Marwari Community ,as envisaged by the visionary zeal of social worker and a freedom fighter; late Sitaram Sakseria – over the years it has opened its doors to welcome girls of all communities and religions in its fold. Today, Shri Shikshayatan School has evolved into a secular institution of high repute and has become a melting pot of diverse cultural, religions and ethnic background.
